Regardless of the business structure of the practice, MEHG believes that medical practices do not work for physicians unless the physician is viewed and treated as an owner-operator of a small business and in control of the total practice management as much as possible. The only reason that the MEHG-affiliated physician cannot control all medical practice decisions is that unless some aspects of the practice’s operation occur in a standardized way it would be impossible for the practice to realize the economic benefits of the larger medical group affiliation.

Comprehensive Medical Practice Management System
MedicalEdge Healthcare Group has been continuously engaged in the provision of comprehensive medical practice management services since 1979. From its origins in the specialties of emergency medicine (Metroplex Emergency Physicians, P.A.) and urgent/convenience primary care (Primacare Medical Centers) it has evolved and expanded into the provision of management services for medical practices in more than a dozen medical specialties.

MEHG's current client base includes hospital-owned practices such as Senior Care Centers, physician-owned practices, and affiliated medical group practices. In the latter category The Medical Group of Texas, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and numbering approximately 150 physicians, is its largest multi-specialty group client.
